Web Connectivity win ACORD awards for third year running

London – 23 May 2006

For the third year in succession, London-based Web Connectivity has won multiple awards at the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum held in Las Vegas, 22nd-24th May.

Based on certification of a further 5 ACORD messages during the preceding year and production implementations at different locations, Web Connectivity's EnabledB2B gateway, data transformation and document repository interface capabilities have been recognised by 3 separate awards in the Accomplishment (Solution Provider) category.

Denise Garth, Vice President, Standards, ACORD, said, “Web Connectivity’s commitment to ACORD standards is a testament to their commitment to the industry.  Adoption of standards not only drives business opportunities but sends the right message to those companies looking to compete in this marketplace.  We applaud Web Connectivity for their leadership in ACORD Standards implementation and congratulate them on this third year of achievement.”

“Built on and around standards, we provide a gateway which is not only completely certified by ACORD for all messages being used, but continues to stand out as a winner”, said Web Connectivity Director Andrew Cassels.  “The aim of our EnabledB2B design is to provide the best and simplest possible ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality to our customers, who are able to start using the gateway almost immediately after installation”.

EnabledB2B is currently being used to handle messaging between multiple trading partners in the London Insurance Market using ACORD’s standards for Reinsurance & Large Commercial (RLC), Document Repository (DRI), Security and Messaging (AMS).  The number of implementations is expected to increase significantly following additional installations at several new customers.

The handling of business messages is not ACORD specific and EnabledB2B can handle any other type of business message and supporting information.

“In London Market terms, installing our technology means that our customers can send and receive the London Market Electronic Claims File messages and at the same time are ready for the G6 as well as Accounting and Settlement initiatives”, Andrew Cassels added.
